Using the app
Pinfall is for recording and reviewing your own bowling, and the bowling of people who have agreed to be scored with you. Do not use the app for unlawful purposes or in a way that harms others. Do not attempt to circumvent the in-app purchase, and do not redistribute or resell the app.
No account, no server
There is no sign-up, no login and no user account, and we operate no server that holds your games. What you get is a licence to use the app on your own devices.
Scores are not official records
Pinfall computes scores, averages and handicaps from what you enter, using published ten-pin and 9-pin no-tap rules. It is not an official scoring system and is not affiliated with any bowling center, league or sanctioning body. Your league secretary's sheet and your center's scoring system are the official record; where they differ from Pinfall, they win.
Your data
Your bowlers, games, leagues and settings are stored on your device. Backups are written to your own iCloud Drive (iOS) or included in your own Android backup, and exports go wherever you send them. Keeping, backing up or losing that data (for example when deleting the app, switching phones or turning off iCloud) is your responsibility. See the privacy policy for what the app does and does not collect.
Purchases
Practice scoring (one bowler per game), history, editing, import, export and backup are free and will never be paywalled, and neither is reading your league data. Your first league night is free. Pinfall Pro is an optional one-time, non-consumable purchase (no subscription, nothing to cancel) made through the Apple App Store or Google Play at $7.99 or the local price set by the store. It adds every league night after the first free one, 2 or more bowlers per game, and spare and performance analytics.
The purchase is a transaction with Apple or Google, not with us. Payment, taxes, receipts, refunds and restoring a purchase are governed by the terms of the store you bought from, and refunds are requested from that store; we cannot issue them. Restoring on a new device with the same store account is free. Purchases are per platform: buying on iOS does not unlock Pro on Android, and the reverse.
We may change the price or the contents of Pro for future buyers; a purchase you have already made is not revoked by such a change.
Availability and changes
Pinfall works offline and does not depend on a server of ours. We may change, update or discontinue features in future versions. Operating-system updates, iCloud or Google backup availability, device limits or store policies can affect features such as backups and widgets; those are outside our control.
Warranty
The app is provided "AS IS", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app is error-free, that a score, average or handicap it computes matches your league's sheet, or that a backup will always be available to restore.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damage arising from use of, or inability to use, the app, including lost data, a wrong average or handicap, or a league dispute. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you actually paid for the app.
Children
Pinfall is a general-audience app (rated 4+) and is not directed at children.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Israel, and the competent courts of Tel Aviv-Yafo have exclusive jurisdiction, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer rights you have where you live.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use after an update means you accept the updated terms.
